Road to Eureka

Great drive on Hwy 299, 150 miles of tree lined twists and turns.  The RV handled real well. The views and vistas were spectacular, hard to capture on film.  Once in Eureka, we stayed at the KOA right off Hwy 101.  On Monday, we took the Avenue of the Giants highway that parallels 101, but thru the redwood forest, runs 18 miles.  Later we explored the old town of Eureka's shops and had dinner at the Banana Hut.  The restaurants owners used to live on the Big Island, and had to bring authentic food to the mainland.  Great food, super nice owners.

Next headed North to the Oregon coast...

Long road ahead

Road followed the Trinity River for most of the ride

This pretty much sums up the road
